Avalon Beach Shoot: The Turner Family
When Carly asked me to photograph her family on the beach, I JUMPED at the chance! Beach sessions are so much fun and I desperately wish that the coast was more accessible! I would be photographing families at the beach all year long if I could! This session had been planned for months in advance and I was so nervous that the weather wouldn't hold out for us, but it did! We actually had a gorgeous evening with perfect sunset light. The beach was super windy (there is always wind! The key is to work with the wind, not against it)!
Photographing this beautiful extended family was amazing! I could tell that the family is incredibly close. That bond was so evident to me as I was shooting and getting to know the family dynamic. I really love shooting families that have an amazing closeness about them. This gorgeous family was no exception!
Shore shoots are so fun for me and I wish I could do them more often! Because it's 4+ hours of travel time and requires quite a bit if planning, I usually will only book them if it's an extended family shoot like this one, or if I can book multiple sessions back to back in one evening. I wish I could do them all the time! Maybe one day when my kids are a little bigger and I can more easily steal away to the beach for a day :)
