Golden Hour is the Best Hour!
As a photographer, I am obsessed with golden hour! All outdoor shoots typically are in the afternoon in the Fall/Winter and early evening in the Spring/Summer. Why? Because golden hour light is beautiful and at the end of the day, the sun is much lower in the sky which mean no harsh sunlight! It's always ideal to shoot at a time of day when the sun is diffused. With little ones, I know the afternoons and early evenings can be tricky! I REALLY encourage moms that if they can power through the photoshoot, it will be worth it!! I always keep photoshoots engaging and fun for littles! Did you know I used to teach preschool before photography? My experience as a teacher has helped SO MUCH in my business!
This golden hour photoshoot with the Forman family was AMAZING! Rachel has two little ones and it also happened to be her birthday this day! I kept her littles busy- lots of running around playing! This shoot is a testament for how amazing golden hour really is- if these photos were taken at 2:00 PM instead of 4:00 PM, they would look completely different! Trust me, golden hour is the best hour!
