What does a December Longwood Gardens shoot look like?
Holly & her family met me at Longwood Gardens earlier this month for a family shoot and it was breath taking. We had the most gorgeous light- again with that amazing golden hour! They have an adorable, sweet and active 1 year old boy who was SO fun to follow around and capture! I just love one year olds! They are the best. He has the sweetest personality! It was also during the annual Christmas event, but despite the crowds, we found some gorgeous little nooks through the gardens where not a soul was!
Longwood is my favorite location to shoot at. Not only is it one of the most beautiful gardens in the country, there is SO much to offer. I love the mixture of architecture, greenery and florals. I love that even in the dead of winter, it's still an incredibly beautiful location. I love how there is all kinds of "secret garden" places throughout the grounds- one of which we found at this shoot! I really wanted the sun to be right behind them so I was strategic in bringing them to a certain area of the gardens that was backlit with the descending sun. The result? Just look at this gorgeous light! You just can't beat golden hour light.
